Lese Dunton's is the founder of Dunton Publishing, a content development and media company that owns The New Sun Newspaper, online since 1994, and LD Reports.com, which launched in 2023.

The New Sun's mission is "to seek the best in life and give it good coverage." People magazine said, "It has caught the eye of high-placed optimists."

The mission of LD Reports is to research and review positive inventions.

In addition to raising capital, her work with The New Sun has included interviewing George Harrison, Pulitzer Prize-winner Jimmy Breslin, President Jimmy Carter, John McEnroe, and Judy Collins, among many others, while simultaneously editing the publication. Along with People magazine, TNS has been featured on CNN, NY1, WOR, and NPR. She additionally produced and hosted The New Sun Radio Show on WBAI FM Radio. (Click here for 1-minute excerpt.)

Ms. Dunton has held a variety of positions including writer, editor, artist, and producer for CBS Television, The Village Voice, The New York Daily News, The New York Post, and The Wall Street Journal. She was also Director of Communications for The Riverside Church.

Her stories have appeared in The New York Daily News, The New York Post, The West Side Rag, the Westside Spirt, Edible Manhattan, and Celebrate With Style.

Since 2011 Dunton Publishing has helped clients to self-publish their print books, e-books, and audiobooks.

Lese is an award-winning essayist and author of seven books, most recently Stories from Childhood and Beyond, a collection of personal essays described as, "poignant, humorous, and mercifully short." Her stories have also been published in Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child and in 12 audiobooks for Reading Town publishers.

In the healthcare field she was the outreach/partnership coordinator for the Midtown Center for Complementary Care, publicist for NY Presbyterian Hospital's Department of Complementary Medicine, and market researcher for St. Vincent's Holistic Health Center.
